EDUCATION
Dr. Conrad completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at Dalhousie University, his Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Clinical Psychology at Simon Fraser University, and his pre-doctoral internship at The University of Manitoba.

THERAPEUTIC ORIENTATION
Dr. Conrad believes that developing a sense of hope and regaining a feeling of control are two of the most important factors in personal growth and satisfaction.

His therapeutic orientation varies according to the presenting problem and the style that fits best for the client. For example, short-term work would likely involve Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with a Solution-Focused approach. Clients would be assisted in identifying clear attainable goals for personal change and empirically validated methods would be used to help achieve these goals. Longer term therapy may involve more insight-based work with a Client-Centered approach.

PHILOSOPHY FOR THERAPY
Initiating therapy can be a difficult decision. Therefore, it is very important to that clients experience therapy as a warm, non-judgmental, respectful, and supportive environment which builds on the personal strengths they already possess.
